The music rarely changes and the jokes are always the same. The best friend wears red heels, the other puts on a fantastic dress, and I find myself in flip flops and denim. I dont wear masks well. My heart is on my sleeve. I am myself, above all else. During the day, I am a nanny to two amazing kids and one neurotic but adorable dog. I am the maker of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, the story time reader, and the one who is always there with a napkin for tears or cuts. I couldnt ask for a better position. A few years ago, I graduated high school. And a few years later, my friends graduated college. I, on the other hand, worked deadend minimum wage jobs and spent every moment out of work at one volunteer organization or the other. Ive lived paycheck to paycheck, moved from couch to couch, and wondered where my next meal was coming from. And I couldnt be happier. Right now, my life is far more stable. I am able to juggle a wonderful living situation with caring for the tots and continuing my volunteer efforts. I have never been and probably never will be a good student.
